One of the most inspirational speeches in recorded history was given by a comedian by the name of Charlie Chaplin. If you like what you see please share the video any way you can and pass the message on.

Goosebumps. Check. Tears in my eyes. Check. To think that I have never seen this speech, this movie, or anything with Charlie Chaplin for that matter. Where do I begin. Maybe with Carpe Diem. Seize the day. Live free. Help your fellow Earth-mates. Don’t be what someone else wants you to be. Be you. Be kind, gentle, caring. Be empathetic. Show love, don’t hide it. We live in a World where greed and hate outweigh love and kindness. If you care for others, and really believe that you can make this World a better place, then it will be. You might be called weak, you might be called stupid. Your actions might be deemed pointless. But they aren’t. We were meant to thrive on this planet, all of us. The animals, the plants. We are all united. Everything in this World is united in a way that not one single living creature can even comprehend.
America, the World, you sitting down reading this now. If you want a revolution, this is the kind we need. Not one with bombs, guns, death. Kill them with kindness. Everything starts with you. Be empathetic. Realize that others have the same emotions and life-struggles that you do. Realize that everyone just wants freedom and happiness. Nothing more, nothing less.
Let us unite, and be all that we were meant to be. Who knew that a 71-year-old speech, from a comedian that did mainly silent films, could be so moving. So powerful. So right here, right now. Now I know that this is very far off from most of the posts I have previously posted, but if I only get one chance in my life to do good in this World, I would like it to be this. I’m serious. We can’t go on like this. This is the make it or break it time in all of our lives, and for our planet in general, and we just all have so much to lose.
So let us all build a better tomorrow. If not for yourself, then for your family. If not for your family, then for the future generations. Be a part of the greatest thing humans have ever achieved simultaneously.
Freedom. Happiness. Enlightenment.
Please pass this on. If not with a link to my site directly, then to the video link HERE.

I am very glad you shared this with everyone, Mike. It is very moving and so true. You are an amazing person and I am sure that you will do many more good things in your life. You have a great heart. It will take you far in this life. Maybe someday our paths will cross.
Thank you so much. It really means a lot that you would take the time to comment on my blog post. I’m usually left in the dark as to what people feel about my different blog posts, so I just post all kinds of different stuff. This post was different though, in fact I really don’t think it fits the theme of my blog at all, but it’s my only medium to express how I feel to the World. Thanks for reading!!
Hi Mike! Great that you discovered Charlie Chaplin and this speech says it all. It’s so simple to change things if you think about it, but no one wants to make a first step for stupid fears of being laughed at. Our planet does not need us humans, it has done fine without us for millions of years, but we need our planet, with all it’s diversity – so what’s so difficult in having a little respect, show some love and kindness…
I follow your blog a little bit and think you are a great person. And don’t worry – this post fits in every blog, if it helps to spread the message.
Love,
Roland
Thanks for sharing this speach. I am posting it on my facebook. Some of the political funds that are being spent these days should buy prime time spots on every channel and run this nationwide, so that everyone could listen, learn and feel what is needed to right the wrongs we live under today. Thx again, Mike.
(you should watch some of his early movies. His little tramp character is naive, fabulous and very funny.
Hope you are well) B
This speech is from Chaplin’s 1940 film, The Great Dictator. At the time, he was the biggest film star in the world, having started in silent films. I didn’t know he was also an accomplished writer, which explains why this speech was so good.
