My name is MiKE Haven, and I’m originally from Michigan. It’s been my dream for a long time, to travel the USA with my best friend. Two years or so ago, we both got laid off. We realized that finding work where we lived was going to be an endless quest, and in the time it would take to find work, we would end up losing everything we owned. So foreshadowing the future, we decided to break the cycle.

We sold everything we owned, and liquidated everything! We put all the money we had into a 1970′s Motor-Home. This was it. This was the answer to everything. Make money traveling town to town doing odd jobs, and explore the world in the between time. Well…to make a long story short it didn’t work out. We only traveled about two states away, and the damn thing broke down on us. We were stuck in St. Louis for a little over a year, and about 6 months ago, we had no choice but to sell the Motor-Home, and rent a place here, now in Indiana, for the winter. This Spring, we hope to once again set out on out quest to explore the great-old USofA.

This is where you can help! We are doing everything in our power to build the funds we need to travel. This time, we are going to have a more intelligent approach, and not throw all of our money into a P.O.S. Our final plans kind of depend on how much money we make. We would love to use this house as a ‘home-base’ and travel by train to various places, exploring the less traveled places. Who knows, we might even make our own TV SHOW and you can have the satisfaction of knowing you helped us make our dreams a reality.
