The Brief

The Brief is a rather popular form of an undergarment and has been in use in one form or another for close to a century by now. In its standard form it is a rather shapeless short with an opening on the right side (which is hardly ever used for urinating) and an elastic waist band. The leg areas also have elastic coverings to fold then in place. Shapeless because the coverage flattens the genital area and while it offers some form of support to the genitals, it is not very body defining in the full length sized brief. Because of its length in body coverage it will accommodate most erections. Plus if you are wearing snug jeans your genitals wont be squeezed as much, as if wearing a boxer short.

Briefs may be made from less expensive cotton jersey, which does not drape well on the body to very expensive uptwisted fine fibered cotton and fine crafted needle stitching that has an exact fit. The style is an enduring classic. The more modern design version has been worked upon to offer more trendy options and the types of fabric choices to give it a better sleeker fit.
