The T-Shirt

In today’s times the Basic Styled T-shirts thrive well as undergarments in use. They performs their function as designed. Whether the color choice is pure white, gray, black, blue, orange, red or yellow the color choices are now wide and varied. The types of fabrics have also been widened from the basic ringspun and sanforized cotton. Other options include, silk, modal, microfibers and nylon.

The collar choices remain the same, either a V Neck, a Scoop neck or a closed neck shape. The sleeve length may be short-sleeved or long-sleeved.

Those are the essential choices with the Basic T-shirt.

Another variant is the A or Athletic shirt, whereby the sides of the shirt by the arm area is cut out and lowered and shoulder straps replace the closed off shouldered area, giving more air circulation to the arm pit area.

The extra added feature by some manufacturers is that of added length in the torso for being taller. The collar area may be ribbed or flat finished seam.

If designed so a pocket may be added to the T-shirt. In this case the shirt works as outer wear as well.

T Shirts are also good as a base layering garment.

For the casual look, a T-shirt and jeans has been used for well over 50 years by men in daily wear.
